City issues warning about boat launches

The City of Kenora is issuing a warning about low water levels at their boat launches.

The boating public is asked to be aware of drop offs and exposed rocks near their boat launches on Lake of the Woods and the Winnipeg River.

The Lake of the Woods Control Board says water levels are on the lower end of the normal range for this time of year, and the Winnipeg River is lower than usual.

The city says with the nice weather and early onset of the boating season, their boat launches have been very busy.
