Two provincial by-elections today won’t affect the Ford government’s majority.
But they might be considered a public opinion poll on how the provincial Conservatives are doing.
The by-elections are in Milton and Lambton-Kent-Middlesex and were both held by Conservative MPP’s.
The Ford Conservatives currently hold 78 seats, compared to 28 for the NDP, 9 for the Liberals and 2 for the Green Party.
There are also 5 independent MPP’s.
