McDonalds restaurants in northwestern Ontario combined to raise over $55,000 on McHappy Day.
The event raises money for Ronald McDonald House in Winnipeg.
The Kenora store alone raised $16,290.
A spokesperson for the Kenora franchise says big thanks to all the community volunteers that helped out their McHappy Day event on Wednesday.
Ronald McDonald Houses provide a place for families to stay when their child is in the city for medical care.
