Local high school soccer teams win just once at OFSSA on Thursday

Local high school soccer teams have their work cut out today at the All-Ontario Championships.

The Beaver Brae boys lost both of their games yesterday, dropping a 3-0 decision to Holy Trinity from Simcoe and losing 3-1 to Bishop MacDonell from Guelph.

They also lost 2-1 to Oakridge Secondary School from London Friday morning.

They are playing in the “AA” championships in North Bay.

At the OFSAA “A” championships, the St. Thomas Aquinas boys had the best day, playing to a couple of ties.

The Saints drew Toronto District Christian High School 0-0 and had 3-3 draw against Nicholson Catholic College from Belleville.

The also played to another tie Friday morning…1-1 against Westview Freedom Academy from Windsor.

The TA girls split their games, losing 2-1 to Nicholson Catholic College but doubling up Toronto District Christian High School 4-2.

The round robin wraps up today.
