Body of missing canoer located in Quetico

The OPP say they have found the body of a missing canoeist in Quetico Provincial Park.

OPP say the 25-year-old man from Indianapolis was in a canoe with six others when it capsized at Saganagons Lake.

He was reported missing on June 5th and his body was found Sunday just before 4 pm by the OPP’s Underwater Search and Recovery Unit.

The lake is located at the southeast edge of the park on the Ontario-Minnesota border.

The area has been cleared by the Ministry of Natural Resources and the OPP.
