A big class to be inducted in the Kenora Sports Hall of Fame this year.
A total of 12 people and one team have received nominations.
Larry Patrick is chair of the Hall of Fame committee and says they have four categories.
“In the Athlete’s category we have Mike Richards, Kate Gustafson, Ryan Reynard and Rick Degagne.”
In the builder’s category Janet Hyslop, Deb Allen, Ursula Larsson will be inducted, along with Don Smith posthumously.
Barry and Dan Reynard and Garry Socholotuk are being inducted in the volunteers category while Delores Frost will be inducted posthumously as well.
In the team category, the June Shaw curling rink will be inducted.
The induction banquet and ceremony will take place on Friday, September 27th in the Seven Generations Event Center.
Tickets are $75 and will go on sale July 2nd.
Dr. Tim Wehner will be the guest speaker.
