OPP/Nishawbe Aski Police Service gain new officers

Thirty-eight special constables have joined the Ontario Provincial Police and Nishnawbe Aski Police Service,

They graduated from the Provincial Police Academy in Orillia last week.

They were formerly firefighters, park wardens, and military members making a career change.

Special Constables work in various roles, including court security, crime scene examination, and prisoner transportation.

The new officers will work in detachments across the province, including in northwestern Ontario.
