Communities across the region to celebrate Canada Day

No shortage of Canada Day festivities in the region on Monday.

Jason Boyer, the community services manager in Dryden says they too are organizing celebrations.

“Starting at 11 am at Cooper Park we’ve got bouncy castles, music, vendors, cake…it should be a good time,” Boyer reported to Dryden City council this week.

The celebrations will last until 3:00.

He adds they will be taking a bit of a break before the big finale Monday night.

“That will be followed by some fireworks at the Government Dock put on by our local fire services, which we greatly appreciate and that will be at dusk.”

Sioux Lookout, Red Lake, Wabigoon and Dyment are all hosting Canada Day celebrations on July 1st.
