Water levels continue to rise

More rain this weekend is expect to push water levels on Lake of the Woods even higher.

Lake of the Woods Control Board says the water levels could increase anywhere from 5 to 17 centimeters depending on how much rain we get.

Over the past week, the lake has gone up 7 centimeters or 3 inches.

As a result the Control Board says it’s pulling all the logs out of the Norman Dam, and it will be fully open.

That’s going to push the level of the Winnipeg River below the dam up 43 centimeters, 36 centimeters at the Dalles and 26 centimeters at Minaki.
