Plans are in the works for a healing lodge to be located on the Eagle Lake First Nation.
The First Nation, the Kenora District Services Board and the Sioux Lookout Health Authority have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the new facility.
It would be a family residential healing lodge to help treat drug and alcohol addictions and other mental health challenges.
The goal is to provide support for the 33 communities serviced by the Sioux Lookout Health Authority.
