Four youth arrested for assault on Fort Hope

Four youth have been arrested following an assault on the Fort Hope (Eabametoong) First Nation.

The Nishnawbe Aski Police were contacted early last Monday, July 8th, about an incident on Albany River Crescent.

Police say an adult and a youth were approached by a group of teens and a physical confrontation ensured.

The assailants produced knives and attempted to stab the two victims.

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.

The four teens each face two charges of assault, assault with a weapon, and possession of a weapons for a dangerous purpose.

Their names are not being released due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
