The best of Broadway is coming to Kenora this week.
Shirley Burton is presenting music from several Broadway musicals on the Trylight Theatre stage.
She adds this is her first show in Kenora.
“In Winnipeg I do theme shows at assisted living facilities,” explains Burton.
“We’re featuring music from Les Miz, from Phantom of the Opera, Sound of Music, Fiddler on the Roof, Mary Poppins, My Fair Lady and some more.”
Pauline Martin is helping to produce the show and says it will feature music from an upcoming musical.
“Trylight is doing My Fair Lady in the fall. Some of the music Shirley’s company is going to playing is from My Fair Lady. We’re going to have Heather Newman, who is playing Eliza on the Trylight stage this fall, singing some of the excerpts from her music this fall.”
The show will take this Wednesday starting at 7:30 in the basement of First Baptist Church.
