Heat warning issued again for the region

Another heat warning has been issued for parts of northwestern Ontario.

The Kenora, Dryden and Fort Frances areas are all under the advisory.

Peter Kimbell from Environment Canada says it’s not just how hot it is, but it’s also the humidity.

“It’s not extreme heat, but certainly we’re getting heat warning criteria, so people need to take precautions especially if you’re outdoors and vulnerable,” says Kimbell.

Kimbell says with the humidex, it could feel like it’s 37.

“Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, if you look at the extended forecast, we’re back into the 30-degree temperatures.”

Cooler temperatures are expected in time for the long weekend with the thermometer hitting the mid-20’s for Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
