This year’s Leonard Skye Building Bridges award is going to an educator with the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board.
Alyssa Donais is currently the Indigenous Language lead for the board and has previously taught Native as a Second Language at Dryden High School.
She was nominated for her work both in and out of the classroom.
The Leonard Skye Building Bridges award was established 10 years ago.
It recognizes an individual, business, or organization which has demonstrated leadership in enhancing diversity, respect, harmony, equality, and humility.
