A third energy project is being proposed for the City of Dryden.
Sam Houston is president of NOC Findlay Dryden Limited Partnership and says they are working with Pioneer Construction on the project.
“We’re proposing a 9.9-Megawatt distribution connected project, and natural gas,”
“The location of the project is on the Pioneer Construction property, which has an existing quarry.”
Houston says they can convert the plant, if and when technology allows.
“The interesting thing about this natural gas project is that the engines are capable, when alternative fuels become available, hydrogen and such, we could adapt to them immediately.”
Two solar projects have also been proposed for the City of Dryden and all three are seeking support from city council.
Houston says in their Community Benefit agreement, $50,000 would be sent to the city for each year the project operating, which is scheduled to be 2050.
