Boil water advisory issued in Kenora

Some residents in Kenora will need to boil their water until further notice.

A precautionary boil water advisory has been issued for parts of the city.

“Due to repairs, the safety of the drinking water cannot be guaranteed,” the city said in a social media post.

Officials said the advisory impacts the city’s water distribution system in the following locations:

  • All addresses north of the Canadian Pacific Railway tracks
  • 1506, 1507, 1510, 1511, 1512, 1518, 1537, 1629, 1633, 1702, 1705, 1706, 1708, 1712, 1713, 1714, 1716, 1719, and 1723 Railway Street
  • 512 Nineteenth Avenue North

All water being consumed should be brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute until further notice.

That includes water used for brushing teeth, making ice, juice, coffee or tea, and washing vegetables that will not be cooked.
