Camper recovers from fallen tree at Blue Lake

A Go Fund Me page has been set up for a Manitoba man injured while camping at Blue Lake Provincial Park near Vermilion Bay.

Eric Leschied is recovering at the Health Science Center in Winnipeg after suffering a broken pelvis in three places and ruptured bladder.

On August 21st, a tree fell on his tent, trapping him and his daughter.

He was freed from the fallen tree by a nearby camper and the daughter miraculously was unharmed.

The Go Fund Me says he’ll be off work for some time as he recovers.

A target has been set at $24,000 and so far over $17,500 has been raised.
