Canada Day: Events all weekend

Hey — it’s almost Canada Day!

With Canada Day coming up this Tuesday, July 1, there are so many events this weekend and Tuesday that you can’t miss.

There’s a Day ‘N’ Night Pop-Up Market this Saturday, June 28, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Norman Kinsmen Hall, located at 35 Minnesota St., right by the Dairy Queen. It’s totally free with music, prize entries, giveaways, and a bunch of local vendors to satisfy your food cravings. They’re even accepting donations for the Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation.

I’m definitely going to try to check this out on Saturday if I can. It seems like it’ll be so much fun, and I really love that there’s also a night market because I’m more of a night owl myself!

There are more Pride events for June — including the Kenora Pride March on Saturday, with the rally starting at Husky the Muskie in McLeod Park at 1 p.m. There will be great vibes, food, music, and a special appearance by Kenora’s very own Ms. Olivia Life.

On Tuesday, the 2025 Canada Day celebrations run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kenora Harbourfront. There will be a free family fun zone, specialty farmers’ market, entertainment, protocol ceremonies, and fireworks.

And there’s even more to do this weekend — just check our events page for more details!
