Central Community Club to officially open Friday

There will be pick up hockey and skating at Central Community Club this winter.

An open house and ribbon cutting will take place on Friday afternoon.

The Community Club has been in the works for a couple of years now, is finally ready to open it’s doors.

Initially, it had a budget of about 800 thousand dollars, but that ballooned toover 1.6 million as it was finally completed.

It includes an outdoor rink, a clubhouse, a playground and room for a beach volleyball court.

The federal, provincial and municipal government all contributed to the cost of the new community club, along with the Light Up Central fundraiser.
