Ontario Provincial Police have charged a Dryden woman with charges pertaining to weapons and drugs after her vehicle was stopped at a North Caribou Lake First Nation checkpoint.
Police say they were working along side guards at the checkpoint and while conducting a routine inspection of the vehicle a subsequent investigation resulted in the seizure of suspected cocaine, crack cocaine and unidentified pills.
Two edged weapons and other items associated with drug trafficking were also seized.
The 45-year-old faces two charges:
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
She has since been released from custody and will appear in court on April 25th.
