The Canadian Union of Public Employees says it’s still talking to the City of Kenora on a new deal.
CUPE 191 city employees have been without a contract for over a year.
The last deal expired on December 31st, 2023.
CUPE members have voted in favour of strike action if a deal can’t be reached, but no date has been set to go out on the picket line.
The two sides are currently working on conciliation dates.
