The Kenora By-Pass is closed from Beryl Winder Road and Highway 595.
The OPP says there has been a serious accident and that section of Highway 17-A will likely be closed for most of the day.
A collision took place around 9:00 this morning and police, paramedics and the fire department were all called out.
No other details about the accident have been released.
There has been freezing rain in the area making roads very slippery.
