Control Board authorizes two more decreases at Norman Dam

Water levels on Lake of the Woods remain fairly stable for this time of year.

The lake has gone down only 1 centimeter in the past week, and isn’t likely to change at all in the coming seven days.

Despite that, the Lake of the Woods Control Board has authorized two reducations in outflow from the Norman Dam.

The first will take place on Monday and the second will be next Wednesday.

The Control Board says as a result, water levels below the dam will drop the Winnipeg River about 3 centimeters and one centimeter at the Dalles.
