CPKC responds to second derailment in a week

CPKC Rail has cleaned up its second derailment in the Kenora area in a week.

The most recent derailment took place Tuesday morning in the Kenora yard.

A spokesperson for the company says a number of cars left the tracks Tuesday.

The train was moving at a slow speed at the time.

There were no injuries and no threat to public safety.

Crews managed to re-rail the cars and the yard track was re-opened Tuesday afternoon.
