Dryden OPP arrest two people on drug trafficking charges

Two Hamilton residents have been charged following a drug bust in Dryden.

The OPP’s Northwest Emergency Response Team and the Dryden OPP conducted a traffic stop as part of an on-going drug trafficking investigation.

Police say they seized fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, cell phone, Canadian currency and other items associated with drug trafficking.

A 22-year-old man and a 23-year-old man, both from Hamilton have been charged with three counts each of drug trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000.

The have also both been charged with possession of a prohibited device ammunition for a dangerous purpose.

One suspect has also been charged with failing to comply with a probation order.

They have been remanded into custody pending a future court date.
