Dryden OPP arrest wanted man

The Dryden OPP say they have arrested a man wanted on an outstanding warrant.

Officers spotted the suspect on Tuesday in the Orvis Street area in the City of Dryden.

He attempted to evade police and fled into a nearby residence.

Shortly after 8 pm, several units of the OPP and the Nishnawbe Aski Police, executed a search.

The 37 year old man from South Gillies, Ontario was found inside and arrested on the strength of the outstanding warrant.

He’s been charged with three counts of failing to comply with a release order.

He was initially arrested back in February of 2024 on drug trafficking and weapons charges.
