Dryden OPP wrap up traffic blitz

The provincial police in Dryden have wrapped up a week long traffic enforcement blitz.

Between the Dryden and Ignace detachments a total of 787 charges were laid and 194 warnings were issued.

Over the Canada Day long week itself, the Dryden OPP say they laid 483 speeding charges.

Another 215 charges were laid under the Highway Traffic Act.

They include 12 charges for impaired driving, four for distracted driving and one for stunt driving, which means the driver was going over 50 kilometers an hour over the posted speed limit.
