Dryden Rotary gives grants to seven local agencies

The Dryden Rotary Club is handing out more than $33,000 to seven different groups.

The biggest grant for $20,000 is going to the Dryden Food Bank.

The next biggest cheque is going to Community Support Northwest for it’s Christmas Cheer Campaign.

They are receiving $5,000.

The Red Lake Chukuni Christmas Cheer Board is getting $2,000.

The Dryden Arena and Pool Holiday program is getting $1,807 while the Dryden Figure Skating club is on the receiving end of $1,500.

The other grants are going to the Mary Berglund Community Health Centre (Ignace Food Bank Youth Program) for $1,000 and the Rotary Adventure in Citizenship for $1,950.

The money for the community grants comes from the Rotary’s Radio Bingo on CKDR.
