Kenora voters will once again be able to vote using their computers, smart phones or tablets next year.
The city is putting together plans for the civic election in 2026.
City Clerk Heather Pihulak says they are using the same system they used in 2022.
“We had the highest voter turnout in all of Ontario, so I would say we’re did alright with electronic voting,” Pihulak told Kenora city council recently.
“We’ll try to really meet that gold star again in 2026.”
Voter turn-out in Kenora last election was 53.45 percent, while the provincial average was just 32.9 percent.
Voters will also be able to use their telephone to cast their ballot next year.
