Kenora’s designated emergency dock is back open after renovations.
The dock is located south of the Lake of the Woods District Hospital on Ocean Avenue.
It serves as the closest and most accessible point for individuals arriving by water who require emergency medical attention.
The dock is equipped with a shore-side phone that connects directly with paramedic services. Emergency crews can then assist patients and coordinate transportation to the hospital when necessary.
Officials are reminding residents and visitors that anyone experiencing an emergency on the water should call 911 immediately. Paramedics can then determine the fastest and most appropriate response based on the situation.
