There’s a bunch of events hitting Kenora this week.
Kenora’s Great Canadian Card Expo is taking place this Saturday, Aug. 30, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 1 Bernier Drive near the Kenora Harbourfront. They’ll have cards, collectibles and more, with 100 per cent of the table fees donated to the Kenora Cat Shelter.
I’m definitely going to have to check this out. As a Pokemon nerd, I’ve recently picked up this new card-collecting hobby, and it’s also for a great cause!
On Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 30 and Aug. 31, is the Freecycle Days in Kenora. If you have any items or furniture you don’t use anymore but are still in good condition, you can put them out on your front walk, curbside or back lane for others to pick up. Make sure to to put a “Free” sign so people know it’s available.
If you have items still lying on your lawn that no one took over the weekend, bring them in before 6 p.m. on Sunday to help keep the community clean.
