SUMMARY:LOTW Kiddie Kickers Registration Closes
DESCRIPTION:Registration is OPEN! LOTW Kiddie Kickers is a spring soccer league for children ages 3-5 born in 2021\, 2022 and 2023. Sessions run for 30 minutes on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting at the Tom Nabb Soccer Complex and then moving to the field at St. Thomas Aquinas High School. Season begins on Tuesday\, May 19 and finishes on Thursday\, June 25. There are two time slots\, 4:45-5:15 and 5:45-6:15. SUMMARY:KPDSB Fireside Chat
DESCRIPTION:The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board (KPDSB) is hosting another Fireside Chat in the Sioux Lookout area. Led by the Director of Education\, Christy Radbourne\, the Fireside Chat will take place on March 11th\, 2026\, from 6:30-7:30 p.m.\, at Sioux North High School\, and is open to all members of the community. This will be a drop-in event and will not require registration\, and there will be a livestream of the event available on Facebook.\nFireside Chats are an opportunity for parents and caregivers to engage in an open discussion/Q&A session with the Director of Education concerning education-related topics. Subjects of interest will include Artificial Intelligence—a new and hot topic—as well as Kindergarten Registration\, parent engagement opportunities\, math initiatives and math education\, and attendance campaigns geared toward student success. Attendees are invited to ask questions and provide comments on any programs\, initiatives\, or concerns they may have.\nA livestream of the Fireside Chat will also be provided on the KPDSB Facebook page. Viewers will have the opportunity to watch the Q&A session live and comment questions for the Director to answer if they cannot make it to Sioux North High School in person. Viewers are especially encouraged to ask questions about KPDSB’s Artificial Intelligence use framework.
