February colder and snowier than normal

If it felt colder than normal last month, you’re not wrong.

The daily mean temperature was -15.7 degrees.

That’s almost 3 degrees colder than usual.

In terms of precipitation we saw both snow and rainfall.

There was 38 centimeters of snow and almost 6 millimeters of rain.

Both of those are above normal.

The average for Kenora is 19.3 for snow, and 2.7 for rain.
