A Sioux Lookout man has been fined and banned from fishing in Ontario for the next couple of years.
Robert Whalen was found actively angling on Jackpine River east of Nipigon back in April in violation of court order.
He’s been fined $6,600 and prohibited from being in possession of any fishing-related equipment in or within 30 meters of any body of water in Ontario.
He been suspended from fishing in Ontario until September of 2027.
