Forest fire hazard low to moderate

Recent rains has helped reduce the forest fire hazard in the region.

There were no new wild fires reported over the weekend.

In fact, there have been only 97 wild fires reported in Ontario this year.

That compares to 194 for this time last year.

The 10 year average is 159.

The fire hazard is mainly low through most of the region, with pockets of moderate.
