Former Sens player surrenders on sex assault allegations

One of five hockey players accused in a sexual assault scandal has turned himself in.

Reports say former Ottawa Senator Alex Formenton, a member of Canada’s 2018 World Junior squad has surrendered to police in London, Ontario.

It’s in relation to sexual assault allegations by a woman in June, 2018.

Philadelphia Flyers goalie Carter Hart, New Jersey Devils players Cal Foote and Michael McLeod, Calgary’s Dillon Dube are all on a leave of absence from their teams for ‘personal reasons.’

London police say they’ll provide an update at a news conference next Monday.
