Four people charged with drug trafficking in Keewaywin

The Nishnawbe Aski Police have arrested four people for drug trafficking on the Keewaywin First Nation.

Three are from the community and a 19 year old man is from Hamilton.

Police say they executed a search warreant on the First Nation early last Friday morning.

Crack cocaine, cash, weapons and other paraphernalia associated with drug trafficking were seized.

The four people have been charged with drug trafficking, possession of property of crime under $5,000 and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

The three residents of Keewayin have been released and a future court date, while the man from Hamilton has been remanded into custody.
