Gas prices expected to go down in Manitoba

You can expect cheaper gas in Manitoba in the new year.

Manitoba Lieutenant Governor Anita Neville read the Speech from the Thone Tuesday afternoon, and lowering gas prices was one of the promises from the Wab Kinew government.

“At the start of the new year, our government has a plan to give you a break at the pump,” Neville told the Manitoba Legislature.

“Our government has a plan to pause the provincial gas tax, saving you 14 cents per liter, every time you fill up.”

The Manitoba Throne Speech also focussed a lot on improving the health care system and reducing ER wait times.
