Gowns for Grads making fashion accessible to those in need

Everyone deserves to look their best while walking the stage at graduation to collect their diploma.

We sometimes take for granted that we all have access and means when it comes to finding and then purchasing those special articles of clothing, especially when it comes to dresses.

“Gowns for Grads” is a Winnipeg-based non-profit that is trying to improve the accessibility of graduation dresses.

For over 15 years, the volunteer-run organization has been collecting dress donations for graduates who are facing financial hardships. Each year, they provide hundreds of dresses to Manitoba students free of cost.

Gowns for Grads not only take in dress donations, but they also go out and buy dresses to make sure that they have a large variety.

Students who want to take part can register through their school.
