UPDATE: Highway 17 reopens following weather closure

All lanes of Highway 17 between Highway 17A and the Kenora Bypass have reopened after being closed due to poor weather conditions.

The closure began early Friday morning at 1:25 a.m. and was cleared by 6:47 a.m., according to Ontario 511.

Drivers are advised to be cautious as weather conditions in the area may still affect road safety.
