Holiday enforcement leads to multiple impaired driving charges

The Treaty Three Police Service (T3PS) has charged 10 drivers with impaired driving during their holiday crackdown.

Officers set up 62 R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) checkpoints between December 1, 2024, and January 2.

The R.I.D.E. checkpoints are where officers stop vehicles to check for impaired driving.

T3PS says they checked 560 vehicles as part of their holiday enforcement plan.

Police are urging drivers to stay safe year-round and remind them of the serious consequences of impaired driving.
