If that’s not the term you use, people also call them wheel boogers, slush-puppies, or other names. It’s when all the slush builds up inside your wheel well and freezes once the temperature drops.
I didn’t even realize I had them there until I checked my car and noticed there were giant icebergs just sitting there. I mean, it makes sense with the odd weather we’ve been having: going from a high of zero to minus 20 in the span of a day.
I tried to look for some ways to remove them. The internet told me to pour some warm water and chip the ice little by little with an ice scraper, but that hasn’t gotten them off entirely. I’ve heard that going to a high-pressure car wash might also do the trick. The best thing is to remove the slush before it freezes up, which I clearly forgot to do!
