The mayor of Ignace has had the interim tag taken off.
Kim Baigrie had been the acting mayor since March of last year, when then mayor Bill Gascon suddenly resigned.
In a vote of council Monday night, Baigie beat out Jodie Defeo narrowly 3-2 for the mayor’s job.
Baigrie will officially be sworn in at their next open meeting on February 20th.
