Ignace OPP lay several charges on Saugeen

A 35-year-old has been charged by the Ignace OPP after threats were received on the Ojibway Nation of Saugeen.

The OPP say the incident took place around 4:30 Sunday morning on Sapay Street.

As a result of their investigation, police have laid two counts of uttering threats causing death or bodily harm.

Additional charges were also laid including possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, mischief under $5,000, and failing to comply with a release order.

The suspect in being held in custody pending a future court appearance in Kenora.
