Impaired driver in Kenora nearly causes collision

A 38-year-old man faces a number of charges as a result of a traffic stop on Fifth Avenue South.

The Kenora OPP says a driver a vehicle failed to yield to traffic nearly causing a collision this past Friday morning around 10:30.

As a result a number of charges have been laid including driving with no licence, failing to yield to traffic and two charges of impaired driving.

His drivers licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was towed away and impounded for seven days.

He’s due to appear in Kenora court at the end of February.
