A Sachigo Lake First Nation resident awaiting their trial is facing additional charges after being arrested for violating their release conditions.
Officers in Sioux Lookout located the individual in the Millar Crescent area on Friday afternoon and placed them under arrest.
The individual was searched, and suspected illicit substances, including methamphetamine, cocaine, and crack cocaine, were seized.
As a result, a 33-year-old from Sachigo Lake First Nation is facing the following charges:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (two counts)
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime
- Failure to comply with release order (three counts)
The accused remains in custody with a future court date.
