Memorable moments made as JUNOS hit Halifax

The 2024 JUNO Awards were presented at Scotiabank Centre in Halifax on Sunday.

Nelly Furtado was the host and performed a medley of her hits including “Promiscuous” and “I’m Like a Bird.”

The big award winners on the night included Charlotte Cardin for Album of the Year, the Beaches for Group of the Year and Talk as Breakthrough Artist of the Year.

Karan Aujla won the TikTok Fans Choice Award.

Rappers Kardinal Offishall and Classified inducted Maestro Fresh Wes into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, and Tegan and Sara were presented the Humanitarian Award from Halifax-born actor Elliot Page.

There were also tributes to the late Robbie Robertson and Gordon Lightfoot.

Nova Scotian legend Anne Murray was also a presenter.

Awards were also presented at the Halifax Convention Centre on Saturday, where Tate McRae won two awards including Single of the Year for “greedy” and Artist of the Year.
