KCDSB and OECTA finalize a new deal

The local bargaining unit of the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association has successfully bargained with Kenora Catholic District School Board.

Trustees voted in favour of a four year deal with OECTA at Tuesday’s night’s open school board meeting.

The agreement is retroactive to September 1st, 2022 and will run until the end of August of 2026.

The deal with the local unit comes after the provincial bargaining team of OECTA came to agreement with the province on a new deal at the start of March.

OECTA represents 117 permanent teachers in Kenora and Red Lake and 49 occasional teachers.
