Kenora Fire Department rents out space at Keewatin Fire Hall

The Keewatin Fire Hall has a new tenant.

Kenora Fire and Emergency Services has agreed to rent out it’s training room to St. John’s Ambulance.

The fire department says the room is currently under-utilized.

St. John’s Ambulance had to vacate it’s previous location in the Kenora Legion after it was sold this summer.

The agreement is for one year, for one thousand dollars a month, but it can be renewed yearly for the next four years.

Kenora Fire and Emergency Services has also agreed to rent out another of it’s apparatus bays to the McKenzie-Clearwater Volunteer Department.

This is a five year agreement and the rental will cover about 40 percent of the operating costs of the Keewatin Fire Hall.
