Kenora Nordic and Biathlon Club ready for a new year

The Kenora Nordic and Biathlon Club has started the new year off on a positive note.

Beaver Brae student Tucker Blyth won the Atikokan High School 5 kilometer race on Monday.

In the meantime, the club is taking several athletes to the Birch Open in Manitoba on Saturday.

Over in Europe, paralympic cross-country skier, Jesse Bachinsky is competing.

Bachinsky is racing with his guide Levi Nadlersmith, at the World Cup in Finsterau, Germany.

In his first race, Bachinsky placed 15th in the world at the largest para race to be held yet in the world.

He is a 2026 Paralympic hopeful.
